EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This study entitled Mathematical Techniques in finding The Area of Polygons was conducted during academic year 2018-2019 at URS Morong, Rizal. The study was conducted for the benefits of all the students and Instructors who use the formula in finding the area of polygons. The study used the description and observational method of research. Descriptive research is a study designed to depict the participants in an accurate way. More simply, descriptive research is all about describing people who take part in the study. There are three ways in descriptive research one of those is Observational, defined as a method of viewing and recording the participants. Case studies involve in-depth research and study of individuals or groups.1 A plane geometry is a flat figure with two dimensional surfaces that extends infinitely. This study was focused on the area of polygon of a plane shape by simplifying it in a given figure. The main purpose of the study is to find the simplest techniques in getting the area of polygons using only one formula. The researchers found out in analysing the formula of finding the area of polygons, the area of polygon such as rectangle,parallelogram, trapezoid, hexagon and octagon can be solved by using its base and height. Simplifying the techniques can be help in solving the area of polygon. The simplified and existing techniques of solving the area of polygon can be suitable. The researchers concluded that it can be computed using trial and error method in finding the area of polygons in simplified techniques. Based on the findings presented in conclusion made, the study offers the following recommendations; Find another simplified formula in finding area of polygons, Simplified another formula which easier to understand by the students and follow up study may be conducted,considering other formula.
