EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Study was conducted to determine the waste disposal practices in Morong, Rizal during school year 2014-2015. The variables such as age, gender, educational attainment and social representation were considered as the profile of the respondents. Segregation, recycling and composting were considered as the waste disposal practices. The group of social representation such as teachers, students, staff/employees. Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT), LGU officials, vendors, Laborers, medical personnel, drivers and housewives were chosen as respondents of the study using purposive sampling and the given the validated researcher-made questionnaire checklist as the main instrument in gathering the needed data.Frequency, percentage and rank distribution were used to determine the extent of waste disposal practices of selected social representation with respect to segregation, recycling and composting. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the significant difference on the extent of waste disposal practices of the respondents in terms of their profile. Based on the findings obtained, it disclosed that majority of the respondents are 36 years old and above, male, college degree and have an equal number of social representation. The researchers found out that among the different practices, segregation obtained the first rank with the general mean of 4.01. The second in rank is recycling with the general mean of 3.38. And last in rank is composting with the general mean of 3.30. There is no significant difference on the extent of waste disposal practices of the respondents in terms of age, gender and educational attainment with respect to composting. But significant difference in terms of social representation with respect to segregation and recycling. Based from the findings, the study concluded that there is no significant difference on the extent of waste disposal practices among the respondents with respect to segregation, recycling and composting in terms of age, gender, and educational attainment. But significant difference with respect to segregation and recycling in terms of social representation. Based on the findings of the study, the following recommendations were offered: Public and private sectors may establish and institutionalize policies and programs that may raise environmental concerns such seminars and trainings on the importance -of waste disposal and related activities, people may practice proper attitudes and behavior towards waste disposal management and follow-up study considering other variables on waste disposal practices of different social representatives may be conducted.
