EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled Simplified Trainer Unit for Refrigeration Cycle aimed to design and construct; perform try-out and revision; determine the acceptability of the project in terms of applicability, functionality, safety and maintenance. Likewise, it also determine the significant difference on the evaluation made by the end-users and experts with respect to the variables and develop a user's manual that is intended to used for developed Simplified Trainer Unit for Refrigeration Cycle. The simplified Trainer Unit for Refrigeration Cycle was designed and constructed from locally available materials which consisting of a tubular bars, ply wood, refrigeration compressor and condenser, copper tube, wires, relay and circuit breaker. During the try-out and revision the study encountered technical problems in order to solve these technical problems the researchers incorporate their knowledge in refrigeration such as troubleshooting, system reprocess and replacement of faulty parts. The output attained the project goal and achieves its useful function. On the acceptability of the completed output of Simplified Trainer Unit for Refrigeration Cycle interpreted as "extremely accepted" in terms of applicability. In terms of functionality the device was merited as "extremely functional". In terms of safety it is verbally interpreted as "extremely safe" and in terms of maintenance the device obtained a verbal interpretation of "extremely easy to maintain". On the significant differences between the evaluation made by the respondents the level of significance in terms of applicability got a computed t-value less than the tabulated t-value, thus the null hypothesis is accepted and verbally interpreted not significant. Moreover, in terms of functionality the level of significant got a computed t-value less than the tabulated t-value, thus the null hypothesis is accepted and verbally interpreted not significant. In terms of safety obtained a level of significance got a computed t-value less than the tabulated t-value, thus the null hypothesis is accepted and verbally interpreted not significant. Furthermore, in terms of maintenance a level of significance got a computed t-value less than the tabulated t-value, thus the null hypothesis is accepted and verbally interpreted not significant. The user's manual was developed with different content such as the specification, important safeguards, how to use and cleaning, maintenance and operating procedure. It study utilized the developmental and descriptive method of research to define as the systematic study of designing, developing and evaluating instructional program, process and effectiveness. Based from the findings, the proponents concluded that null hypothesis states that there is no significant difference between the evaluations made by the electro-mechanical students and the experts in terms of applicability, functionality, safety and maintenance. It was confirmed that the finished project attained its functions according to its design and objectives. Based from the previous conclusion the following recommendations were suggest sight glass should be added to see the refrigerant inside the copper tube, a 3-way valve to perform pump down procedure and thermometer to measure the temperature in evaporator. Proper drainage should be installed for long use.
