EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop a Modified Electric Insect Eliminator out of locally available materials. It was conducted at the University of Rizal System-Morong, Rizal during S.Y. 2016-2017. There were forty (40) respondents, thirty (30) Bachelor of Technology students as end users and ten (10) professors in Electrical Technology as experts, they evaluated the study in terms of functionality, usefulness safety and maintenance. The study tested the null hypothesis that there is no significant difference on the perception of the respondents on the acceptability of the Modified Electric Insect Eliminator as evaluated in terms of usefulness, functionality and safety and maintenance. The data gathered in the study were statistically treated using qualitative description, weighted mean, and t-test. The Modified Electric Insect Eliminator was tested for operation where troubles were observed and revised. Through try-out and revisions made, the project reached the functional output and attained the project objective. On the acceptability for a Modified Electric Insect Eliminator as perceived by the End Users and Experts in terms of Functionality, the Modified Electric Insect Eliminator was extremely accepted as evaluated by the experts and end users. In terms of Usefulness, the Modified Electric Insect Eliminator was extremely accepted as evaluated by both respondents. In terms of Safety and Maintenance, the Modified Electric Insect Eliminator extremely accepted as evaluated by the experts and end users. On the significant difference on the level of acceptability of the a Modified Electric Insect Eliminator as perceived by the respondents it can be observed that with respect to the citied variables, there is no significant differences between the evaluation made by the respondents on the level of acceptability of the device. Based on the findings and conclusions, the recommendations were hereby offered: improve the physical appearance of the device; the research division of the university should conduct a feasibility study on the utilization and possible mass production of the device; a user's Guidance/Operation Manual must be made for guidance of end-users; further study should be conducted by other researchers to improve the capability of the device; other research instrument should be revised in order to test other variables that may affect the performance of the project; other researchers should conduct same researches on the improvised devices similar to the present study.
