520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aims to Unravel Persona of the Cosplayers through studying self-concept by delving into their Alter-ego or Ideal self. The study was conducted in Rizal specifically in Cardona, Binangonan, Taytay and Pillillia. The respondents were the five (5) cosplayers who have been cosplaying in a span of one to seven years, played several characters and attended cosplay events. The study utilized structured interview questionnaire in a face to face interview. The structured interview questionnaire has been reviewed and validated by professional and license professors in Psychology. The result showed above(cosplayers generally have low self-confidence because they lacked socialization when they were younger, they were all drawn in anime which became, mostly, their childhood activity/hobby), it is concluded that the self-concept of the cosplayers is related to their alter-ego wherein they used cosplay to fulfill the desire of becoming their ideal self even for just a day. As for general recommendation, The family may educate their children how important it is to go play outside, have physical and social activities instead of playing with gadgets or being stuck with the television so that they will be able to practice socialization.Parents and other family members may install compliments in their children so that they will be more confident to themselves. The social institutions may implement seminars about oneself, topics on how to boost self-confidence.There may be more programs in the televisions that promote socialization and physical contacts with the environment, since these cosplayers as well as other people including children or people of different sexes and ages spend time on watching television.Future researchers may tackle more on the family relationships of the cosplayers and how it affects the confidence of the cosplayers and how it contribute to lead them to cosplaying. Since there are not many studies about cosplayers, future researchers may continue similar studies to support and validate this study further.
