Summary, etc. This study aimed to determine the parental involvement and academic performance of Grade 1 pupils in University of Rizal System Tanay, Campus Year 2016-2017. The descriptive method of research was used in this study using the Questionnaire - Checklist as instrument in gathering data. The respondents of the study were the Grade 1 pupils in University of Rizal System Tanay Campus, School Year 2016-2017. Frequency, percentage distribution, rank and mean were applied as statistical treatment to determine the parental involvement and academic performance of Grade 1. The salient findings of the study were as follows: the profile of the respondents in terms of sex revealed that majority of the males are Very Much Involved with respect to support to pupils' academic learning and support to participation in co-curricular activities. In terms of Sibling Position majority of 1st and 2nd born children are Very Much Involved with respect to academic learning and there are some who are Very Much Involved and Much Involved with respect to participation in co-curricular activities. In terms of Parents' Educational Attainment majority of Grade 1 pupils are Much Involved in academic and cocurricular activities. In terms of Monthly Family Income majority of the respondents whose family income is around 25,001-above, 20,001-25,000 and 15,001-20,000 are Much Involved with respect to support to pupils academic and participation in co-curricular activities. Parents' involvement to pupils academic learning was verbally interpreted as Very Much Involved and Much Involved for participation in co-curricular activities. When grouped according to profile and academic learning, the males are Very Much Involved, those whose sibling position belong to others (6-above sibling position) was perceived with Very Much Involvement of parents and with respect to their support to their children's academic learning and co-curricular activities majority are Very Much Involved. Based on the findings of the study, the researchers arrived at the following conclusions; majority of the respondents are Very Much Involved in academic and co-curricular activities. The highest number are the first and second born, whose parents reached college level and mostly are having family income of 15,000-above who are Much Involved with respect to support to pupils' academic learning and participation in co-curricular activities. Based on the findings and conclusions the researchers offered the following recommendations; Parents of Grade 1 pupils especially female should support them in terms of academic learning and co-curricular activities. The parents are encouraged to support their children in terms of academic learning and co-curricular activities.
