Summary, etc EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Powerpoint Presentation in teaching science for Grade 4 pupils which was conducted at Tomas Claudio Memorial Elementary School, during the school year 2015-2016. The powerpoint presentation is the instructional material that was used. The respondent were the Grade 4 pupils with the total number of forty five (45) pupils. The pretest and posttest was developed by the researchers and validated by the experts and have undergone item analysis. This study used experimental method which utilized two groups of respondents. To Determine the level of performance of the control group and experimental group, pretest and posttest was used with. Based on the analysis and interpretation of data, the following are hereby summarized. It was found out that the academic performance of both control group and experimental group of respondents in Science was improved as revealed by the results of the pretest and posttest. The performance of the experimental group differs significantly than the control group as revealed in the posttest results. The respondents' academic performance in the experimental group is higher than the control group: and the powerpoint presentation greatly affects the academic performance of the respondents. Based on the findings of the study, it was concluded that the experimental group who were exposed to powerpoint presentation performed better than the control group who were exposed to traditional way of teaching. Based on the findings and conclusions drawn, the following recommendations are offered: Use powerpoint presentation in teaching learning process to gain much higher level of academic perfomance of the pupils; Use different ways using powerpoint presentation in teaching the lesson to catch the interest of the pupils and conduct studies considering other variables and setting.
