520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop a Portable Sheet Metal Cutting Device. It was conducted at the University of Rizal System, Morong Campus during the school year 2015-2016. The researchers utilized an adapted and modified questionnaire-checklist to determine the level of acceptability of the Developed Portable Sheet Metal Cutting Device. It was validated and accomplished by the respondents who provided information for the completion of the study. The results were tallied and computed for analysis. There were two group respondents who tested the acceptability of the project. The first group were consisted of five (5) experts who had the knowledge, skills and full awareness on the constructed of the Developed Portable Sheet Metal Cutting Device while the other group consisted of ten (10) students taking up Bachelor of Technology major in Mechanical and Production Technology at the same University. Qualitative description was used in developing the Portable Sheet Metal Cutting Device and weighted mean was used in determining the acceptability of the Portable Sheet Metal Cutting Device. To determine its significant difference between the evaluations made by the two groups of respondents, T-test was used. Based on the analysis and interpretation of data, the study revealed that, on the design and construction of the Portable Sheet Metal Cutting Device, the researchers were able to design a well detailed assembly drawing, pictorial drawing and exploded drawing and constructed Portable Sheet Metal Cutting Device out of locally available materials. Based on the analysis of the gathered data, the following findings were presented. On the design and construction of the project, the Developed Portable Sheet Metal Cutting Device was designed, constructed and developed Portable Sheet Metal Cutting Device was designed, constructed and developed out of locally available materials. On the try-out and revisions made, the developed Portable Sheet Metal Cutting Device was tested for operation wherein different flaws and short comings were observed. Through try-out and revisions method the device reached the output's function and attained its objective. The findings revealed that, in terms of Safety and Maintenance, Usefulness, Durability and Accuracy as evaluated by the end-users and experts all variables are verbally interpreted as extremely acceptable. On the significant difference made by the experts and the students in terms of the above variables, this study found that, there is no significant difference on the evaluation made by the respondents in terms of safety and maintenance, functionally, durability and usefulness; hence the null hypothesis was accepted. Based on the findings, the study concluded that, there is no significant difference on the evaluation made by the respondents in terms of safety and maintenance, functionally, durability and usefulness. Based on the foregoing findings and conclusions, the researchers recommended that, administrators of Universities or Colleges should encourage their students and instructors to develop and construct instructional machines, gadgets and other shop equipment. Assistance should be given in students undergoing similar research or study to defray the high cost of materials needed. Follow-up study should be conducted to improve overall design of the device to increase its performance.
