Summary, etc EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The major objective of this research was to develop a grinding machine for waste plastic materials and likewise determine its effectiveness and level of acceptability. The study was conducted at the University of Rizal System during the SY: 2016-2017. Based on the analysis of gathered data, the grinding machine for waste plastic materials was very much accepted by the respondents with respect to functionality, maintainability, applicability, suitability, usefulness, safety and maintenance and effectiveness. In conducting the test method in evaluating the performance of the plastic grinder motor in terms of average speed and torque, the researchers made different computations for the application of the design. Specifically, it aims to achieve the following: Modification of a plastic grinder at low cost materials. Determine the effectiveness of the fabricated plastic grinder in grinding different plastic bottles. Comparison of the results would give us a clearer view of how the strainer helped for the production of plastic and it showed that in terms of size, and time of production. Based on the findings and data gathered which has been compared during the testing of plastic grinder, if there's no strainer the production of grind plastic is fast but the size of the grinded plastic is 0.8 to 1.5 inch, and if there's a strainer the production of grind plastic is too slow but the grinded plastic is final more likely 0.05 to 0.2 inch. The researchers come up with the following recommendations. The future researchers can still modify the materials use, and the design to have the best results. Also, maintain the cleanliness of the strainer to produce good quality of grinded plastic, all the blades should have a proper maintenance to less the malfunction of the machine, volume of the plastic that need to grind is always full to the storage to consistent flow to the machine, the plastic grinder should be installed to communities where the plastics need to be grind.
