520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to design and construct a Multi-purpose Modular Drafting Table. Specifically, it aimed to develop the Multi-purpose Modular Drafting Table out of locally available materials, perform a try-out and revision of the project, and determine its acceptability in terms of functionality, usability, safety and maintainability and durability. The significant difference between the existing drafting table and multi-purpose modular drafting table were tested through evaluation made by the respondents. This was undertaken at the University of Rizal System, Morong, Rizal by the students of Bachelor of Technology major in Drafting Technology during the school year 2016-2017. Based on the summary of findings the researchers concluded that the multi-purpose modular drafting table attained its functions based on the objective of the study. The researchers considered several factors in designing the table, such as availability of potential materials. By seeking the aid of the experts, the researchers successfully finished the construction of the drafting table. Throughout the development of the project, it was tested for operations wherein different flaws and shortcomings were observed. Several defects were found and through try-out and revision method, the device reached the functional output and attained its objectives. The acceptability of the developed Multi-purpose Modular Drafting Table and the existing drafting table in terms of functionality was found out to be very much functional while the existing drafting table found out less functional. In terms of usability, it was found out that the multi-purpose modular drafting to be very much usable while the existing drafting table was found out to be less usable. In terms of safety and maintainability it was found out that the multi-purpose modular drafting to be very much safe and maintainable while the existing drafting table was found less safe and maintainable. Lastly, in terms of durability it was found out that the multi-purpose modular drafting to be very much durable while the existing drafting table was found out less durable. The findings revealed that the table is very much accepted as shown as the result of the evaluation. The evaluation of multi-purpose modular drafting in terms of the findings revealed that the table is very much accepted as shown as the result of the evaluation. The evaluation of Multi-purpose modular drafting in terms of functionality, usability, safety and maintenance and durability, were found out to be significant. Based from the results, the researchers concluded that the multi-purpose modular drafting table designed and constructed out of affordable and locally available materials, the multi-purpose modular drafting table could be revised based on the defects found during try-out and experimentation phase of the study, it was found out that the multi-purpose modular drafting table has a significant difference between the existing drafting table in terms of functionality, usability, safety and maintainability and durability, thus null hypothesis is rejected and verbally interpreted as significant. Based from the results of the evaluation done by the respondents, the study was arrived with different recommendations that can be used for the improvement of the project, the recommendations gathered are the University should allocated funds for research work engaged in the designing of modern furniture, further study considering other variables, the cabinet could be designed with a built in extension wiring provide electrical outlet for the laptop, the table must have a footrest, the design of the table can be mass produced by a furniture shop for livelihood, the table could be built with lighter material for easier mobilization and the mini-whiteboard should be replaced into sticky memo board.
