With the aid of the steps considered in the study, in terms of categories of bathing, cooking farming, wedding and worshipping the findings are, there were Dumagat words whose sounds have similarities to Filipino words. However, there were words used by the Dumagats differ from the Filipino words. Moreover, the study also found out that Dumagat words were dominated by the phoneme /ɛ/ and /u/ contrast to the phoneme /a/, /ɪ/ and /ɔ/ utilized in Filipino words. With the findings the study concluded that the Dumagat words have the similarity with the Filipino words in terms of sound. And also, majority of the Dumagat words were interfered by the phoneme /ɛ/ and phoneme /u/ which can be compared to Filipino words which have the phoneme /a/, /ɪ/ and /ɔ/.
