520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop an Interactive Materials in Teaching Algebra for Grade 7 students and determine its acceptability and effectiveness, conducted at the University of Rizal System-Morong Campus, Laboratory Schools, School year 2015-2016. The Interactive Materials have features like of that Role Playing Games (RPG) where the students chose a character before battling with the enemy through performing the topic on binomials and somehow functioned like Book Worm Adventure. The Interactive Materials was entitled Clash of Binomials. There were three groups of respondents, the students respondents composed of the experimental group and control group with a total number of forty (40) students, ten (10) Mathematics teachers and ten (10) IT experts who evaluated the developed Interactive Materials to determine its acceptability. The study used experimental method which utilized two group pretest and posttest design, descriptive developmental method and descriptive-evaluative. To determine how the interactive materials were developed, qualitative description was used. in determining the level of performance of the experimental group and control group as revealed by the pretest and posttest scores with respect two different lessons in Algebra, mean and standard deviation were used. to verify if there was a significant on the level of performance of the experimental group and control group as revealed by the pretest and posttest scores with respect to different lessons in Algebra, dependent t-test was used. to find out if there was a significant difference on the level of performance of the experimental group and control group as revealed by the posttest scores with respect to different lessons in Algebra, independent t-test was used. and, to determine the level of acceptability of the Interactive Materials in teaching Algebra for grade 7 as evaluated by three groups of respondents in terms of Contents (Square of Binomial, Cube of a Binomial and products of sums and differences of two terms), graphics and features, Organization and Presentation and Workability of the Interactive Materials, mean was used. Based on the analysis and interpretation of data, it was found out that students improved their mathematical performance through the use of the developed Interactive Materials. The performance of the experimental and control groups differed significantly per pretest and posttest scores on lessons Square of Binomials, Cube of Binomials and Products of Sums and Differences of Two Terms. It was statistically found out that the performance of the experimental group differed significantly than the control group. In lesson Square of Binomials as revealed by the posttest results. However, in lesson Cube of Binomials and Products of Sums and Difference of Two terms, there no significant difference found due to the close relatedness on the level of difficulty of the two lessons. The developed Interactive Materials was found to be moderately effective on lessons in Algebra such as the Square of Binomial, Cube of Binomials and Products of Sums and Difference of two terms and is Very Much Accepted as evaluated by the Grade 7 students, teachers of Mathematics and IT experts in terms of contents, graphics and features, organization and presentation and workability. Based on the findings, it was concluded that students who were exposed to the developed Interactive Materials performed better in Square of Binomials as revealed by the posttest scores. Also, the developed Interactive Materials possessed the characteristics of a good instructional material. The study recommended the developed Interactive Materials to be utilized as an instructional material to gain much higher level of performance of the students. The developed Interactive Materials may also be modifies and enhanced. Furthermore, studies considering other topics may be conducted.
