Summary, etc. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The main purpose of the study is to the develop an intervention materials in Mathematics. The subjects of the study were the thirteen (13) teachers in Mathematics and eighty five (85) grade 7 students. The respondents were selected purposively. The study used the developmental method design of research utilizing an adapted questionnaire-checklist in the development and acceptability of the intervention materials. The study was conducted at Tanay National High School during the school year 2016-2017. Qualitative and mean discussion was the statistical tool used to treat the problems presented in the study. Based from the frequency of the items in diagnostic test, the following findings were obtained. The performance of the students in the diagnostic test revealed the following: the mean performance of the grade 7 students in Number and Number sense was 5.8' 6.21 in patterns and algebra, 3.76 in Geometry and; 5.02 in statistics and Probability. Based from the findings of the study, the researchers concluded that Geometry, statistics and probability are the weaknesses of the grade 7 students as revealed by the diagnostic test results. The level of acceptability of the developed intervention materials in mathematics with respect to the criteria was found to be very much acceptable to the students and teachers. From the results and conclusions obtained, the researchers recommended that teachers of mathematics are encouraged to use variety of techniques and strategies in teaching to enhance the performance of the students in Mathematics specifically in Geometry, statistics and probability; the use of intervention materials and remedial classes should be done by the mathematics teachers to improve students' performance; teachers should attend more seminars/workshops/trainings related to new trends in teaching mathematics so they can adopt activities that can be used in the teaching-learning process; and follow up studies should be conducted to enhance the developed intervention materials.
