Summary, etc EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study entitled KidScieMazing: An Educational and Recreational Application in Science was conducted at Tomas Claudio Memorial Elementary School by the fourth year Bachelor of Science in Mathematics major in Computer Science students during the Academic year 2017-2018. Role playing game (RPG) as well as computer role playing game or CRPG is a game genre where the player controls the actions of a character immersed in some well-defined world. This study was conducted to enhance the skills of every children and their interest to study. Children can enjoy the game because they learn at the same time. The study was created to promote learning while enjoying and to lead the children to learn about Science. This application was made to know how effective gadgets are in terms of teaching. It covers the learning material of the teachers of Grade 3 pupils. The said application was used by the prime section of grade 3 pupils in Tomas Claudio Memorial Elementary School as the respondents during academic year 2017-2018 to test the level of acceptability of the proposed program. the selective purposive sampling is the technique was used. The researchers used the adapted modified institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) standard questionnaire-checklist. The checklist was administered to get the answer of the respondents on the respondent's perception on the level of acceptability of the developed program based on the variables like accuracy, applicability, user-friendliness, workability and completeness. The KidScieMazing is an application for Grade 3 pupils. This was done through gathering data that regards to the topics. To make the program possible the Unity was used for the program of the entire system and Adobe Photoshop, and 3dmax in editing the character and pictures inside the program. The researchers gathered information from the learning materials given by the teachers of Grade 3 pupils which are the programmer's respondents. The information inside the program is only based from the curriculum of k12 for grade 3 students including matters, senses, animals, plants and ecosystem. Based on the result of the findings, the researchers therefore concluded that the developed program is very much accepted. In terms of the variables such as accuracy, applicability, user-friendliness, workability, completeness and portability as perceived by IT Professors the average weighted mean is 4.62 while on the student's perception's the average weighted mean is 4.85. Based also in the result of the evaluations of the program, it shows that the developed program could be useful to the grade 3 students in learning more about Science and at the same time enjoyable using modern gadgets as a tool in learning. The researchers recommended that the developed system way to be used as an instructional material that is a big help for the instruction so that students can be able to understand more and cope with their studies. The application can be used as an educational and recreational material for Science and follow-up study must be conducted for further enhancement of the developed program.
