This study effectiveness of earthworm (Lumbricus terrestris) as feed ingredient on the culture performance of the koi crap (Cyprinus carpio) was conducted. To find the appropriate percentage of earthworm in feeding diets and its effects on the growth performance in terms of length, weight and survival rate. The study aimed to determine the effects of earthworm (L.terrestris) as feed ingredient on the growth performance of koi carp (C. carpio) such as length, wieght and survival rate; to determine the significant effect of earthworm (L. Terrestris) as feed ingredient on the growth performance of koi carp (C. carpio) such as length, weight and survival rate; to determine if these is a significant difference on the effect of earthworm (L. Terrestris) as feed ingredient on the growth performance of koi carp (C. carpio) such as length, weight, survival rate. Finding affirmed that treatment I which is formulated feeds with earthworm with 60% crude protein content got the higher length and weight increment of koi carp than treatment II which is fed formulated feeds with fishmeal. Formulated feeds with earthworm has a lower survival rate and higher FCR. It may also be due to introduction of new feed stuff. The result indicates that treatment I formulated feeds with earthworm and treatment II fed with formulated feed with fishmeal are suitable for culture performance of koi carp in terms of length, weight and survival rate. The researchers concluded that formulated feed with earthworm provides the quantitative evidences to support the culture performance, this species of earthworm is capable of satisfying the daily requirements of protein and other trace elements.
