Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to develop graphic organizers in selected topics in Afro-Asian Literature. The researchers originated a Module with a story line entitled "Hamba and His Journey to the Lost Kingdom of Afro-Asian Literature" wherein Hamba is an African Adventurer whose character was patterned to Dora, the explorer. The module contains the developed graphic organizers with content and performance standards, target competencies, learning objectives, tasks, selections and rubrics. It was conducted in University of Rizal System Morong, Rizal during the Academic year 2013-2014. The respondents were ten (10) teachers who are knowledgeable in Afro-Asian Literature subject, Purposive sampling technique was used. The researcher design used was descriptive method utilizing developmental studies. The study made use of modified questionnaire checklist. The study evaluated the acceptability of the developed graphic organizers in selected topics in Afro-Asian Literature. The acceptability of the Module was measured through its objectives, content, usefulness, language and style and format and graphics. After gathering the data, the researchers obtained a weighted mean of 4.45 for the respondents verbally interpreted as "Very Much Accepted" which means that the developed graphic organizers passed all the attributes of a good module in terms of objectives, content, usefulness, language and style, and format and graphics. It can be concluded that the graphic organizers in selected topics in Afro-Asian Literature is very much accepted since it possesses all good attributed that a Module should have and it can be beneficial to teachers who are teaching the subject. It is recommended by the researchers that the graphic organizers in selected topics in Afro-Asian Literature be utilized as instructional material in teaching Grade 8 English and a test for effectiveness should be conducted for further enhancement of the graphic organizers in selected topics in Afro-Asian Literature.
