Dissertation note: Thesis BS Biology University of Rizal System. Cardona 2018 Summary: The study Developmental and Testing of Citrus chrism. (Dayap) Leaves Extract aimed to determine the effectiveness of dayap leaves extract as deodorant. The researchers made use of the developmental-descriptive and experimental method to determine the effectiveness of dayap leaves extract as deodorant. The actual experimentation of the study used 15 randomly selected as subject of the study and 6 sniff tester. The following procedures: formulation of deodorant, test method, selection of respondents, baseline odor evaluation, subject evaluation, supervised washes and odor evaluation was used to determine the effectiveness of C. aurantifolia leaves extract as deodorant and was tested into three days of trials with different time: 0hr, 6hrs, and 12hrs. This study conducted at University of Rizal System where the subject was selected and the formulation of deodorant, the extraction of dayap leaves was conducted at Department of Science and Technology Tausig, where the essential oils was used to make deodorant. Findings affirmed that formulated deodorant with the leaves extract of C. aurantifolia as anti-bacterial agent was effective with an interpretation of "no body odor" after one to three day trials based on the perception of the 6 testers of the experiment of the study. This result indicates that there was a significant difference on the testing of C. aurantifolia as deodorant and placebo after 0hrs, 6hrs, and 12hrs. The researchers concluded that extracted leaves of C. aurantifolia as deodorant was potential for utilization.
