Acceptability of supplementary material in plant production

Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Technology and Livelihood Education) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study was conducted with the aim of determining the level of acceptability of the developed supplementary material in plant production. It was conducted at Guronasyon Foundation Incorporated National High School during the school year 2015-2016. This involved the teachers and students who were purposively selected to serve as the respondents in evaluating the material. There were 3 teachers and 68 students who were asked for the acceptability of the material along objectives, contents and organization and presentation. This made use of descriptive method utilizing evaluative design. To answer the research problems, mean was used to ascertain the level of acceptability of the materials and t-test for the significant difference on the evaluation of the two-groups of respondents. From the gathered data, the study found out that the material in plant production with respect to objectives, content and organization and presentation was much accepted as evaluated by both teachers and students. With the aid of the findings the study concluded that the module possessed the characteristics of a good teaching device and can be used as supplementary teaching material. Further, the study recommended that the material can be used as supplementary material in teaching Plant Production. Also, validation of the material should be considered to determine its reliability and parallel study can be conducted considering other topics in Plant Production.
