Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: In the fast-paced growing City of Antipolo, urban transportation issues are one of foremost considerations as to support its great demand in mobility. And as such, passenger transport plays a dominant role in most of the city activities. Thus, the study entitled Locational Analysis and design of centralized transport terminal in Antipolo City aims to come up with a project for a centralized terminal consolidating most of the terminals scattered around the city with an innovative way of applying the basic system of managing the passengers and its available units. The study is divided into two major phases: the locational analysis phase that determines the most strategic location for the proposed centralized terminal within the city and the design phase which constitute the site development plan of the whole project, architectural design and structural design of the main building which will house all the needed facilities for a public transport terminal. To begin the first phase, preliminary data were gathered from different national and local government agencies and from the existing transport terminals. These include the national guidelines for public transport terminals, numbers of existing terminals and number of available units and peak hours of each. Next, data were also collected through different surveys and methods, which include one-week passenger inventory and recorded trips. Then, three sites were selected and analyzed with the developed criteria in selecting strategic location which utilized the data such as proximity of the selected sites to major roads and market, estimated area, traffic count and land-use classification of each site. And to accomplish the locational analysis phase, factor-rating method was used to weigh the three different sites correlating the developed criteria and data gathered. It was thoroughly assessed and thereby concluded that the abandoned soccer field in the corner of Sumulong Mem. Circle and P. Oliveros St. is the strategic location for the project. The second phase, which is the design phase, consist of site development plan of the entire centralized terminal complex, architectural and structural plans of the main building, computation of loads and moment distribution, and design of structural elements of the main building. The plans and designs were systematically prepared and were established that they passed the code requirements.
