Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The purpose of this study was to provide a design plan of a channel and levee where it includes seismic analization. The study also aimed to design a developmental examination on how channels help prevents the risk of flooding in selected areas in Binangonan, Rizal. The data gathered by the researchers was that Binagonan, Rizal is having a high risk of flooding even moderate rain. Implementing the new design of its drainage system in JP. Rizal Ave. will be a great help prevent flooding even heavy rain occurs. The research covers a proposed design for the development of the Risk Reduction Management in Binangonan, Rizal to lessen the flooding in the area, in terms of different aspects like, topography, average rainfall intensity, site development plans, and to the health of the community living nearby. The study also aims to have an improved design of a channel and levee by proving a model of its cross section based on the gathered data. The output of this study was the final design of the channel and levee including the details of the cross section of the base and the height of the proposed design of the channel. The researchers therefore includes that this study aimed to design a developmental examination on how channels helped to prevent the risk of flooding's.
