Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop and Electronic Water Meter for Wireless Data Logging System to transmit and receive water reading wireless and view it on a user interface. This study was conducted by Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering students at the University of Rizal System-Morong Campus during the school year 2016-2017. The researchers utilized 20 respondents of which 5 were experts and 15 were consumers. The respondents were selected using purposive sampling technique. The researchers used developmental and descriptive type of methods of research. Developmental research has been defined as finding a more suitable process or instrument that what has been available. It is also a systematic study of designing, developing and evaluating instructional programs, processes and products that must meet criteria of consistency and effectiveness. Meanwhile, descriptive-evaluative research design, as described by Paler-Calmorin, is a method that appraises carefully the worthiness of the present study. It aims to judge the goodness of criterion method. The survey method allows the researchers to lead questionnaires and interviews to be answered by the respondents and analyze the result statistically. The researcher also used a modified questionnaire-checklist which served as the main research instrument to know if the developed system will be accepted or effective by experts in terms of accuracy, workability, safety and maintenance, and functionality. The software latform (Visual Basic 2010 and Arduino Sketching Software) and the hardware (arduino UNO, power adapter, NRFL 2401 module, water flow sensor, connecting wires, resistor and powerbank) were used constructing the whole device. In the period of researching the study several testing, trial and error are conducted, and consulting to the experts to meet the proper way how the experiment and evaluation processes is. It is needed to comply with the study's objective. This study was limited to read one client only on the volume of water consume. The transmission medium used, radio frequency, has 30 meters range. The data logged can view in spreadsheet with the help of Visual Basic. The researchers developed this study to save the consumed water in the computer server wirelessly. On the evaluation of level of acceptability of Electronic Water Meter for Wireless Data Logging System made by the respondents on the level of acceptability of the project was found out to be very much appreciated. The future researchers may deal with a database application software for a strong storage of the data logged and wider space of database; establish a wide range transmission of the data in the remote; and provide a portable power back up for the client device in case of power failure.
