Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering) -- University of Rizal System-Morong.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop Automatic Irrigation for the landscape of Science and Technology Building of University of Rizal System, Morong Campus during the school year 2017-2018. An adapted-modified questionnaire checklist was used to determine the level of acceptability in terms of accuracy, design, economic aspect, safety and maintenance, and usefulness. The respondents of the study were composed of 6 utility workers, 2 IT experts, 3 teachers and 19 students in the University of Rizal System Morong Campus with the total of 30 respondents. The study used descriptive- evaluative checklist. The percentile rank was used to determine the level of acceptability of Automatic Irrigation between the Perceptions of respondents. Weighted mean was used to determine the acceptability of the system in terms of design, economic aspect, usefulness, accuracy and safety and maintenance. It was found out that the respondents, who were the campus utility workers, IT experts, teachers, and student accepted the device. Based on the data acquired by researchers, in terms of design, it is verbally interpreted as much accepted. In terms economic aspect, based on the perception of the respondents, it is also verbally interpreted as much accepted. Similarly, in terms of usefulness, accuracy and safety and maintenance are all verbally interpreted as much accepted. Based on the summary of findings, Automatic Irrigation System for the Landscape of Science and Technology Building of University of Rizal System will be very useful on the campus landscape. The device is easy to develop and construct using locally available materials. Also, the device is a model to modernize the field of landscaping at a mass scale with optimum expenditure. Thus, using the system, one can lessen water usage, lessen labor cost and save time. For further study, the researchers recommend to test the system on a larger location where numerous soil moisture sensors can be used, and to add more features to the system.
