Development of program based visitor's pass in university of Rizal

Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study primarily dealt on the design and development of the Program Visitor's Pass. The study was made to apply the knowledge acquired by the researchers to solve a problem. The researchers have decided to contribute to the safety management of University of Rizal System - Morong by providing a security system that will serve as a Visitor's Log Book along with a device that will record his/her route inside the campus premises. The device information shall be analyzed upon retrieval of the device. The program has a database that will hold all the basic information provided by the visitor. It has history log that will show the time ins and outs of the visitor. The study utilized a researchers' made record sheet to determine the level of acceptability in terms of Design, Functionality, Safety and Maintenance and Usefulness. In terms of the program, the level of Workability, User-friendliness, Accuracy, Lay out. On the evaluation of acceptability of the project, the level of acceptability in terms of design, the system garnered an average weighted mean of 4.48 by the users and 4.6 by the experts and verbally interpreted as very much acceptable. As of functionality, the system got an average weighted mean of 4.62 by the users and 4.44 by the experts and verbally interpreted as very much acceptable. In terms of safety and maintenance the level of acceptability attained an average weighted mean of 4.5 by the users and 4.44 by the experts and verbally interpreted as very much acceptable. In terms of usefulness, the level of acceptability achieved an average weighted mean of 4.66 by the users and 4.52 by the experts and verbally interpreted as very much acceptable. Moreover, when it comes to the program, relative to workability, the acceptability of the system attained an average weighted mean of 4.47 by the experts and verbally interpreted as very much acceptable. In terms of user-friendliness, the level of acceptability attained an average weighted mean of 4.80 by the experts and verbally interpreted as very much acceptable. In terms of accuracy, the level of acceptability of the system achieved an average weighted mean of 4.67 by the experts and verbally interpreted as very much acceptable. In terms of modifiability, of the system achieved an average weighted mean of 4.67 by the experts and verbally interpreted as very much acceptable. The general acceptability of Program Based Visitor's Pass in university of Rizal System- Morong was 4.57 by the users and 4.58 by the experts and verbally interpreted as very much acceptable. Based on the analysis for the gathered data, it was found out that the developed Program Based Visitors Pass is very much accepted to effectively contribute to the safety management of University of Rizal System- Morong. The system developed attained its function based on the project design and objectives. Based on the findings and conclusions, the following recommendations are set forth. Further studies should be undertaken to improve the performance of the overall design. Further the study is advised in upgrading the user interface of the program in terms of its automation, database and framework to make it more automatic and end user friendly. The outer appearance of the device could be remodeled for better use. If there are local materials available, it is recommended to utilize it. For future researchers, further study advised and should be undertaken to improve he feature of the device.
