Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The research aimed to develop a produce energy from biodegradable waste then stored it in a battery to provide power. The research specially evaluated the performance of the developed device in terms of voltage, current, power, and discharging time. The study conducted mainly at the University of Rizal System Morong Campus during the Academic Year 2015-2016 from the second semester of 2015 up to the first semester of 2016. The study was done primarily and expected to be effective and reliable alternative source of electricity as it will help generate electricity using the acids from biodegradable waste. The researchers used developmental and experimental research design since they developed a device, and it undergone in several experimental and observations. The researchers extract the acid from the waste then convert it to electricity. Kitchen waste that comes from the houses where stored in a container. Water was added to the kitchen waste in a container, and turned out to acid after a period of time. The extracted pulp became a fertilizer and the extracted acid was stored in another container plates namely Copper and Aluminum. Theses plate harnessed the positive and negative charges. The harnesses charges is simply the electricity, this can be used by people in times of emergency or even in the rural areas wherein electricity is not accessible. In the conduct of the study, a record sheet was prepared by the researchers to record tha data from the conducted experiments to prove the performance of the developed device. The record sheet is composed of materials used and its volume, voltage output, and discharging time. The interpretations and analysis of the data is based directly on the actual record of experiments from the developed record sheet. Hence, based on the analysis and interpretation of data, the researchers determined the effectiveness of the different set up with respect to distance between the plates and its sizes. And test the effectiveness on the Biodegradable Waste as an element in Electrical Energy Production in terms of voltage, current, power and discharging time. In the light of foregoing conclusions, they recommended to add some acidic waste to the solution so it will produce more potential difference, and further study should be taken to add more features to the research device.
