Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Technology major in Electromechanical Technology University of Rizal System-Morong. 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitle Development of Evaporative Air Cooler Trainer Board Unit was conducted at University of Rizal System during the school year 2016-2017. It aimed to develop and construct an Evaporative Air Cooler Trainer Board Unit out of locally available materials, perform the necessary try-out and revisions on the project, evaluate the acceptability of the project in terms of usefulness, safety and maintenance, performance, durability and test the significant difference on the evaluations made by the two groups of respondents. The researchers utilized the researchers-made questionnaire checklist to determine the acceptability of the developed evaporative air cooler trainer board unit. The professors in the college of industrial technology validated the research instrument. The respondents provided pertinent information crucial to the completion of this study. The result of the evaluation was tallied and computed for analysis. There were two (2) groups of respondents who tested the acceptability of the project. The first group of respondents who tested the acceptability of the project. The first group consisted of eighteen (16) BT-Electromechanical Technology students and the second group consisted of five (5) professors in the University of Rizal System Morong Campus. The statistical treatment used was weighted mean and independent t-test. The weighted mean was used to determine the acceptability of the project, while the independent t-test was used to test the significant difference on the perceptions of the two groups of respondents on the level of acceptability developed evaporative air cooler trainer board unit. The researchers concluded that the developed evaporative air cooler trainer board unit was completed and constructed out of locally available materials. It was found that the project was accepted as evaluated by the respondents. On the significant difference in terms of usefulness, safety and maintenance, performance and durability of the project, it was found not significant. Based from the findings and conclusions, the researchers recommended that a digital ammeter should be added to the board in case there is no clamp ammeter. Bigger terminal markings should be use d to become more readable. A rubber caster wheel should be used to overcome the load. Finally, other researchers should utilized instructional materials using experimental group and control groups to evaluate the impact of the training board to the students.
