EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to develop an automatic window controller utilizing rainfall sensor and dark detector. Specifically, it sought to perform try out and revisions, determine each level of acceptability in terms of safety and maintenance, usefulness and design; determine the level of performance of the developed automatic window controller with respect to the following parameters sensitivity to light and dark, sensitivity to rain water, device response time to the dark detector and device response time to the rain sensor. This sensors were installed on strategic areas in the homes or office where it can sense the rainfall and sunlight effectively. A motor was installed on the window closures, so it can open or close itself, whenever, the sensor were hit by the raindrops or any water substances or when it darkens or day comes. Once the devices are installed at homes, homeowners have much to relax and unwind, since they have these homes monitors. This is hassle-free, worry-free and enhances security. This study was conducted at the University of Rizal System, Morong Campus during school year 2017-2018. The device was conducted out of locally available materials. There were twenty (20) respondents of study, composed of faculty from the college teaching electronics and electrical technology, maintenance personnel and student of bachelor of technology major in electrical and electronics technology. The respondents were chosen using purposive sampling technique. they evaluated the device in terms of safety and maintenance, usefulness, and design. The data gathered in the study were statistically treated using qualitative description, and weighted mean. The automatic window controller was tested for operation where troubles were observed and revised. Through try-out and revisions were made, the project reached the functional output and attained the project objective. Based from the summary of findings, the automatic window controller was completed and construct out of locally available materials. It was tested for operation where different troubles are observed. On the acceptability of the developed device in terms of safety and maintenance gained a weighted mean of 4.84 which was verbally interpreted as strongly accepted as evaluated by the twenty (20) respondents. In terms of usefulness gained a weighted mean of 4.48 which verbally interpreted as strongly accepted as evaluated by the twenty (20) respondents. In terms of design gained a weighted mean of 4.85 which was verbally interpreted as strongly accepted as evaluated by the twenty (20) respondents. It was concluded that the developed automatic window controller is strongly accepted as perceived by the experts and end-user. It was concluded that the developed automatic window controller is extremely effective with respect to response time and sensitivity.
