Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Technology major in Electrical Technology University of Rizal System-Morong. 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to design and develop an automatic temperature regulator for shower, perform try-out and revisions; determine the level of performance of the developed device in terms of temperature sensor sensitivity and water temperature response time; determine the level of acceptability of the device in terms of functionality, usefulness, durability and design and safety and maintenance. It further aims to determine the significant difference on the level of acceptability between the developed automatic temperature regulator for shower and the existing shower. It was limited to designing, developing, trying-out and evaluating the completed output to determine its performance and acceptability. There were twenty (20) respondents of the study, ten (10) electrical and electronics technology professors from the college of industrial technology of University of Rizal System Morong and ten (10) third year students from Bachelor of Technology major in Electrical Students from the College of Industrial Technology. The data gathered in the study were statistically treated qualitative description and weighted mean and one tailed dependent t-test. The study was conducted by the bachelor of technology major in electrical technology students at the University of Rizal System, Morong Campus during the Academic Year 2017-2018. The project focused on the design and development of a automatic temperature regulator for shower which can be used to provide the people with warm bath water, especially during cold days. The developed device was tested for operation where troubles are observed and revised. Through try-out and revisions made, the project reached the functional output and attained the project objectives. On the level of performance of the developed automatic temperature regulator for shower: with respect to temperature sensor sensitivity and water response time, it was found to be extremely effective. On the acceptability of the developed automatic temperature regulator for shower and the existing shower, both were found to be extremely accepted in terms of functionality, usefulness, design and durability, however in terms of safety and maintenance, the existing shower was rated only as accepted. On the significant difference on the acceptability of the automatic temperature regulator for shower and the existing shower, the gathered data revealed that: in terms of functionality, usefulness and durability and design got a computed t-value of which is less than the tabulated t-value, therefore, the null hypothesis is accepted that there is no significant difference between the develop automatic temperature regulator for shower and the existing shower. However, in terms of safety and maintenance, the computed t-value is greater than the tabulated t-value, therefore it rejected the null hypothesis is presented and verbally interpreted as significant. Based on the result of the evaluation on the developed automatic temperature regulator for shower, it was concluded that there is no significant difference in terms of functionality, usefulness and design and durability. However, there is a significant difference in terms of safety and maintenance. Based on the summary of findings and conclusions, the researchers arrived at the following recommendations; financial assistance may be granted to the students pursuing research studies on different endeavors; further study may be conducted focusing on other features of the device; other researcher can do parallel study to enhance the capability of the device.
