Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Technology major in Electromechanical Technology University of Rizal System-Morong. 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study focused on the development of the automatic control device for air-conditioner. This was conducted at University of Rizal System, Morong Campus by the students of Bachelor of Technology major in electromechanical Technology during the school year 2017-2018. This study focused in making the window type air-conditioner more convenient to use. This can be used to saved time and effort for the end-user. This study aimed to develop a window type air-conditioner using the latest technology. Performed try-out and revisions conducted on the automatic control device for air-conditioner, five trials were done by the researchers. After the five trails the automatic control device was 100% successfully functioning. It sought to determine the acceptability of automatic control device for air-conditioner in terms of safety and maintenance, usefulness and functionality. In terms of safety and maintenance, the respondents evaluated the device which got the overall mean of 4.4 in and verbally interpreted as extremely accepted. In terms of usefulness, the device performs its function according to the desired operation hence the respondents revealed that the automatic control device for air-conditioner have exemplary performance. In terms of functionality, the respondents evaluated the automatic control device for air-conditioner which got the overall mean of 4.4 and verbally interpreted as extremely accepted as evaluated by the electronics instructors the materials used materials used in the device was negligible when it comes to power consumption. Safety and maintenance got a mean difference of .7 with 14 degrees of freedom at .05 level of significance. It got computed t-value of 2.2 which is less than the tabulated f-value of 2.145, thus, the null hypothesis is rejected and verbally interpreted as significant. In terms of usefulness it got a mean difference of .7 with 14 degree of freedom at .05 level of significance. It got a computed t-value of 2.1 which is less than the tabulated t-value of 2.145 thus the null hypothesis is accepted and verbally interpreted as not significant. Lastly is functionality got a mean difference of 1.5 with 14 degree of freedom at .05 level of significance. It got a computed t-value of 1.8 which is less than the tabulated t-value of 2.145 thus the null hypothesis is rejected and verbally interpreted as not significant. The automatic Control device for air-conditioner scored 5.0 and verbally interpreted as highly effective with respect to response time. The automatic control device for air-conditioner scored 5.0 and verbally interpreted as Highly Sensitive with respect to sensitivity.
