Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Technology major in Electrical Technology University of Rizal System-Morong. 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to design and develop a solo piston driven generator with inverter, it further aimed to perform try-out and revisions; determine its acceptability in terms of design, economic aspects, functionality and safety and maintenance; determine the significant difference on the evaluations of the respondents on acceptability of the respondents on acceptability of the developed solo piston driven generator with inverter and the existing commercial generator; test the performance level with respect to voltage output, current produced and fuel consumption time. This study was conducted at the University of Rizal System, Morong Campus during the school year 2017-2018. The device was constructed out of locally available materials. There were thirty (30) respondents of the study, ten (10) faculty of the college of industrial technology teaching electrical technology and twenty (20) fourth year electrical students who evaluated the developed device in terms of design, economic aspect, functionality and safety and maintenance compared to the generator. The data gathered in the study were statistically treated using qualitative description, weighted mean and dependent t-test. The solo piston driven generator with inverter was tested for operation where troubles were observed and revised. Through try-out and revision made, the project reached the functional output and attained its objective. On the acceptability of the developed device; in terms of design, economic aspects, functionality, and safety and maintenance were extremely accepted by both group of respondents. On the significant difference of the level of acceptability on the developed solo piston driven generator with inverter as perceived by the respondents; in terms of design, economic aspect, functionality, and safety and maintenance, the computed t-values are less than the tabulated t-value, therefore the null hypothesis is accepted and found out not significant. On the level of performance of the solo piston driven generator with inverter; with respect to voltage output, current produced, and fuel consumption time is found to be extremely effective. It was concluded that there is no significant difference between the acceptability of the developed solo piston driven generator with inverter and the existing commercial generator as perceived by the respondents in terms of design, economic aspect, functionality, and safety and maintenance, therefore the null hypothesis is accepted. Moreover, it was concluded that the developed solo piston driven generator with inverter is extremely effective with respect to voltage output, current produced and fuel consumption time. Based on the findings and conclusions, the recommendations were hereby offered: a rubber shock absorber should be installed on the generator to eliminate too much vibration; parallel study must be conducted to improve the design of the device; other researcher should be conducted to improve the device for the economic welfare of people.
