Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Technology major in Electronics Technology University of Rizal System-Morong. 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled Development of Robot Vacuum Cleaner that can be used to collect wastes automatically was conducted at the University of Rizal System Morong Rizal during SY 2017-2018. It helps to contribute the society to maintain cleanliness with our environment. This study adapted the developmental type of research design since this is a purposive study of constructing and developing of Robot Vacuum Cleaner. The study utilized the developmental research method. There were two groups of respondents who evaluated the project to determine the level of acceptability of the develop robot vacuum cleaner. As to the acceptability of the developed robot vacuum cleaner as perceived by the end user and expert, it was found out that the device is very much accepted in terms of design, functionality, usefulness, safety and maintenance. The findings revealed that the project procedures desired and accurate results, carries out the expected performance, and can be upgraded as the needs arises. The data gathered in the study were statistically treated using qualitative description, weighted mean and t-test. The development of robot vacuum cleaner was tested for operation where troubles were observed. Through try-out made, the developed device reached the functional output and attained the objectives of the study. On the acceptability of the developed device; in terms of design of the developed device as evaluated by the experts, it achieved a verbal interpretation of very much accepted having computed weighted mean of 4.8. on the other hand, the end users also evaluated the design of the developed device as very much accepted having a computed weighted mean of 4.5 In terms of functionality, as evaluated by the experts, it achieved a verbal interpretation of very much accepted having computed weighted mean of 4.8. on the other hand, the end users also evaluated the device as only much accepted having a computed weighted mean of 4.43 In terms of usefulness, as evaluated by the experts, it achieved a verbal interpretation of very much accepted having a computed weighted mean of 4.7. on the other hand, the end users also evaluated the device as only much accepted having a computed mean of 4.4. In terms of safety and maintenance, as evaluated by the experts, it achieved a verbal interpretation of very much accepted having a computed weighted mean of 4.9. the end users likewise got very much accepted with a computed weighted mean of 4.4. The null hypothesis that there is no significant difference on the evaluation made by the experts and end user on the acceptability of the development of robot vacuum cleaner in terms of design, functionality, usefulness and safety and maintenance is accepted, therefore there is no significant difference. The developed robot vacuum cleaner can be an alternative waste collector since it is rated as very much effective in terms of waste collection response time. Based on the findings and conclusion, the recommendations were hereby offered: the wheels should be replaced by a ball chair caster wheel to make the turn right be perfected: additional power of the vacuum cleaner efficiently; further studies should be conducted to improve this study.
