Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Technology major in Hotel and Restaurant Management University of Rizal System-Morong. 2017 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to determine the level of competition among the specialty restaurants in Angono, Rizal during the school year 2016-2017. The researchers used the researcher-made questionnaire-checklist to find out the level of competition among the specialty restaurants in Angono, Rizal. The researchers used the descriptive research method in gathering the necessary data in the study. It contains the profile forty (40) respondents likes types of meal served, service offered, specialty meal served and other variables like ambiance, price, service, facilities, tools and equipment, location, parking area, security and advertisement. The evaluation were tallied, tabulated and treated statistically. Frequency distribution, weighted mean and t-test were used. From the analysis and interpretation of data, the findings were summarized. Based on the summary of findings, it was found out that in terms of types of meal served, among the specialty restaurants in Angono Rizal, dinner and snacks obtained the highest percentage next is lunch and the last is breakfast. It indicates that most of the customers went to the specialty restaurants. Breakfast is 11.5%, lunch is 26.9% and dinner and snacks is 30.8%, and in terms of service offered, regular offering is 43.7%, off premises catering is 25%, on premises catering is 25%, and others id 6.3%. in terms of specialty meal serves, the native is 88.9% and exotic is 11.1%. The level of competition among the specialty restaurants in Angono Rizal with respect to ambiance, has verbal interpretation of "Much Satisfied". With respect to price, it has verbal interpretation of "Much Satisfied". With respect to the service, it was verbally interpreted as "Much Satisfied". With respect to the facilities, it was verbally interpreted as "Much Satisfied". With respect to the tools and equipments, it has verbal interpretation of "satisfied". With respect to location, it has verbal interpretation of "Satisfied". With respect to the parking area, it has verbal interpretation of "Satisfied". With respect to the security, it has verbal interpretation of "Satisfied", while with respect to the advertisement, it has verbal interpretation of "Satisfied". One the other hand in terms of meals served, seating capacity, service offered and specialty meal served it was found out that there is no significant difference. Based on the results on the gathered data of the researchers, it was found out that in terms of ambiance, service, facilities, tools and equipment, location, parking area, advertisement that there is no significant difference. And in terms of the price and security it was found out that there's a significant difference. Based on the findings and conclusions, it was recommended that owners and managers should have a higher security on their establishment and should show concern in terms of the security and safety of their customers and also owners and managers should explore more in terms of their security too increase the sales of their establishment. The manager and owner should provide affordable prices of their foods so that the customer will be attracted to patronize their business. The customers take into account the type of meal, services offered and specialty of the restaurants in eating at the restaurants.
