EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: With the aim of providing a specific reference that would help learners of Philippine Literature develop their competencies and teachers to teach the subject easier, the researchers conducted a study entitled "Enhancement Learning Material in Philippine Literature for Grade 7". The research aimed to develop and determine the level of acceptability of the developed Enhancement Learning Material in Philippine Literature for Grade 7. This study was conducted during the academic year 2017-2018. The researchers utilized the developmental-descriptive research method using their own modified evaluative-checklist for the evaluation of the enhancement learning material in terms of Content, Language and Style, Creativity, Usefulness, and Organization and Presentation. The enhancement learning material was developed first by gathering information from the result of the pre-survey that the researchers conducted which helped them finalize the literary pieces to include in their book in preparation for the development of the learning activities. After finalizing the literary pieces, the researchers started to develop the enhancement learning material with the guide of K to 12 English Curriculum Guide. The findings revealed that the developed enhancement learning material got an overall mean of 4.70 in all aspects with respect to: content; language and style; creativity; usefulness; and organization and presentation which all are verbally interpreted as very much accepted. Therefore, the developed enhancement learning material can be used by all types of learners and this can help to enhance their comprehension skill. Likewise, this will promote the learners' independent learning and their competencies in understanding and appreciating readings in Philippine Literature. Hence, the researchers recommend that the developed learning material be utilize in the teaching of Philippine Literature; develop another set of learning material and conduct further study to test the effectiveness of the developed enhancement learning material.
