Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering University of Rizal System-Morong 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study generally aims to design and develop a Hydro-Powered Energy for Electricity Supply at Sitio Calinawan, Tanay Rizal which will generate electricity for the residents of Sitio Calinawan in Tanay, Rizal. It also aims to determine the level of acceptability to users in terms of Design, Durability, Functionality, Accuracy, Workability, Environment-Friendliness, and Safety and Maintenance during the academic year 2018-2019. This study will benefit the residents living in Sitio Calinawan who do not have supply of electricity. The developed device will provide electricity for the street light posts during the night to lessen the darkness of the surroundings, since the people conserved their batteries for more important uses. vii The researchers used the descriptive and developmental research design because the study was based on developing a device that will help the residents to resolve or just lessen their problem on having no supply of electricity. The researchers encountered a lot of trial and error while developing the design. In designing the Hydro-Powered Energy for Electricity Supply at Sitio Calinawan, Tanay Rizal, the researchers considered the rate of flow of the water, penstock, turbine, ac generator, electrical wire, circuit breakers, outlets, Arduino and relay, outlets and street light posts. The researchers'-made questionnaire-checklist was used to determine its level of acceptability to the users. The respondents were twenty (20) residents of Sitio Calinawan/ End-Users and ten (10) experts for a total of thirty (30) respondents. The experts were chosen based on their expertise while the beneficiaries were chosen randomly. After the evaluation of this study, the result shows that the device is highly accepted as perceived by the experts and the end-users. In conclusion, the developed Hydro-Powered Energy can supply adequate electricity at Sitio Calinawan Tanay, Rizal using locally available materials. As recommendations for future studies, the future researchers may develop this device to come up with a more effective and powerful device that will supply other appliances that consumes higher amount of energy. The future researcher may provide bigger size of penstock to decrease the resistance that will result in higher flow rates. Use battery as storage, fix the turbine in the area and fix the installation of electrical wirings.
