Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering University of Rizal System-Morong. 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled University of Rizal System Morong Campus Mapping System was created for the purpose of helping students and visitors to find staff and offices they have an appointment with and to evaluate the level of acceptability of the device in terms of accuracy, reliability, functionality, user-friendliness and safety and maintenance which were also used as variables in the researchers' questionnaire checklist, to be answered by several users such as students and visitors and experts. This study used the developmental method type 1 and descriptive method, specifically the observational method and the survey method. The device created is a complete computer system with a touchscreen monitor that serves as its output and input peripherals, such as keyboard and mouse. It also includes a system unit and automatic voltage regulator enclosed in an electrically-safe casing. The researchers were able to develop a device that helps students and visitors alike to find their sought university staff or office in the university premises. The device was evaluated by several users and experts through the questionnaire checklist that implied the device to be strongly acceptable. A user-manual for an administrator and another for the users were also made. It is recommended for future developers to be able to use raspberry pi or other microcontrollers or any alternatives for the system unit to make the device portable. It is also indorsed that the future improvement of the device will be able to produce a system that is applicable even for the visually impaired. It is also suggested that the future system would be able to have a statistic of the most visited places and staff by the visitors, implying that a log in of the visitors should be included, which composes of their names and classification-whether a student or a professional or a parent and enable the administrator to log in using fingerprint and monitor their log in, in case of more than one administrator.
