Dissertation note: Thesis BSBA-FM University of Rizal System, Binangonan 2017 Summary: This study primarily aimed to determine the cash management practices of private Schools in Angono and Binangonan, Rizal, conducted during the academic Year 2015-2016. Twenty two (22) private Schools in the municipality of Angono and Binangonan were considered by the researchers as the respondent of the study. The descriptive method was used by the researchers to describe the cash management practices of the private Schools. A questionnaire checklist was used to gather the necessary data for the reseach. The respondents' profiles were grouped according to age, sex, civil status, department, position, educational attainment, and length of service. The private Schools' profiles were grouped according to form of business organization, sources of capital, sources of income, initial capitalization, present capitalization, annual gross income, number of faculty and staff, Years of existence and the number of students enrolled. The arithmetic mean and rank distribution was used to find the respondents' perceptions on the cash management practices and One-Way (ANOVA) to determine the respondents' perceptions on the cash management practices based on their profiles. The profile of the respondents reveals that: In terms of age, most of the respondents belong to the age of 20-35. As to sex, it shows that females have the highest number. With respect to civil status, majority of the respondents are married. In terms of department, High School department gets the highest rank. As to position, it shows that most of the personnel were cashiers. With respect to educational attainment most of them are college graduates. In terms of length of service, most of the respondents worked for 2-6 Years and 7-11 Years. The profile of the private Schools in terms of business organization, sources of capital, sources of income, initial capitalization, present capitalization, annual gross income, number of faculty and staff, Years of existence and number of students enrolled reveals that: In terms of business organization, it shows that corporation ranked first. As to sources of capital, owned capital was used by majority of the Schools. With respect to sources of income, majority of the Schools used student fees. In terms of initial capitalization, Schools with initial capital of P2,000,000-P2,400,000 ranked first. As to present capitalization, it shows that most of the Schools used P500,000-P999,000 as their capital. With respect to annual gross income, Schools which have annual gross income of P3,000,000-3,999,000 ranked first. In terms of number of faculty and staff, it shows that majority of the School's faculties and staffs are composed of 11-20 personnel. As to Years of existence, it shows that Schools which existences range from 11-20 Years ranked first. In terms of the perception of the respondents' on cash management, it reveals that item number 1" Keeps safe the daily cash, receipts and collections in the cash vault." ranked first with an obtained mean of 4.50 and verbally interpreted as "always". The significant difference on the cash management of private Schools in terms of respondents' profile reveals that: In terms of age, sex, position, educational attainment, and length of service.
