Evaluation of students on the impact of guidance services

Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling University of Rizal System-Morong. 2017 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study is entitled "EVALUATION OF STUDENTS ON THE IMPACT OF GUIDANCE SERVICES IN SELECTED SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN RIZAL". The study is conducted with the purpose of the determining the impact of guidance services to the students. There was a total of 100 students from different schools who served as the respondents due to their availability at the time of the conduct of the study. For better understanding of the study, the following statistical tools were used. To determine the profile of the respondents, frequency, and percentage and rank distribution were used, to determine the guidance and services that provided by the students frequency was used, to determine the level of the impact of guidance services with respect to the given aspects, mean was used, to determine the significant differences on the level of guidance services with respect to the given aspect as perceived by the students in terms of their profile, One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used. This study made use of descriptive method of research. It involved the survey techniques using the questionnaire which was content-validated by the experts in the fields of guidance and counselling. After interpreting the data gathered and giving the summary of the findings, the following conclusions are hereby presented. Most of the respondents are male and Grade 9 students with an age of 15-16 year old, with married parents who are non-professional, with three siblings in the family, and are all youngest children. Counselling is the main service which is provided to the students, Guidance Services have very high impact as evaluated by the students, age, sex, parental status, number of siblings, and siblings position are not contributory to the evaluation of students on the impact of guidance services while grade level and occupation of parents affect their evaluation. Based on the summary of findings and conclusions of the study, the following recommendations are hereby given. Guidance services must be disseminated to the high school students, the school may provide guidance program ad activities relevant to the needs of high school students, and parallel studies maybe conducted considering other variables.
