Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling University of Rizal System-Morong. 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to determine the role of teachers and academic stressors of college students in URS-Morong. This was conducted during the school year 2017-2018. The subject of the study would be the college students of URS-Morong, who described in terms of their profile such as age, sex, course, year level, parents' marital status and monthly family income. The study used the researchers made questionnaire-checklist as the main instrument in gathering the needed data validated with the guidance of the experts. The gathered data was tabulated, interpreted and analysed using frequency and percentage to determine the profile of the respondents in terms of age, sex, course, year level, parents' marital status and monthly family income. Mean was applied in determining the extent of role of teachers with respect to teacher as an educator, motivator, a model and facilitator. Mean was used to determine the extent of academic stressors of college students in URS-Morong with respect to subjects enrolled, subject requirements, teacher styles and learning facilities. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the significant difference on the role of teachers and academic stressors of college students in URS-Morong with respect to different aspects in terms of respondents profile. Most of the college students are females, enrolled in Civil Engineering, belong to the age bracket of 16-20, third year with married parents and a monthly family income of 10,000-19,999. College students perceived that teachers are often playing their role as educator, motivator, model and as facilitator. Subjects requirements, teachers styles and learning facilities are often experienced while subject enrolled is sometimes the academic stressors of college students. Age, sex, year level, parents' marital status are not contributory to the perception of college students to the role of teachers but course is found contributory. Age, sex and parent's marital status have no effect on the academic stressors of the college student but year level, course and monthly family income affect the academic stressors. On the basis of the findings and conclusion enumerated, the following recommendations are hereby offered, that the teachers should provide motivations and be a good examples that will serve as inspiration to the college students, stress management may be conducted to college students regularly so the college students can adjust to college life and conduct follow up study considering other variables.
