Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Technology major in Eletromechanical Technology University of Rizal System-Morong 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This study aimed to develop a refrigerator with auto refilling filtered water dispenser. It attempted to design, construct, and perform try-out and revision. Likewise, it aimed to determine the level of acceptability of the refrigerator with auto refilling filtered water dispenser and the existing refrigerator with built-in water dispenser in terms of design, functionality, usefulness and safety and maintenance. Furthermore, it tried to determine the significant difference between the developed refrigerator with auto refilling filtered water dispenser and the existing refrigerator with built-in water dispenser in terms of the above mentioned variables. Lastly it determined the level of performance of the refrigerator with auto refilling filtered water dispenser in terms of sensor response time, refilling time, filtering time and energy consumed. The design and construction of the refrigerator with auto refilling filtered water dispenser can be developed and constructed by utilizing locally available materials. Bill of materials and working drawing were prepared, preparing tools and materials were used as basis and guide for constructing the project. Likewise, tools and equipment were also set up in building the said project. The tryout and revisions of the refrigerator with auto refilling filtered water dispenser was tested for operation. Defects were found like leaks on the piping connections and some electrical malfunction. Immediately the researchers fixed the defects and made the operation normal. Results on the acceptability evaluation of the project in terms of design, functionality, usefulness, and safety and maintenance was accepted by the respondents. Similarly, the evaluation conducted by the respondents found out that there is significant difference in terms of the design, functionality, usefulness, and safety and maintenance between the developed refrigerator with auto refilling filtered water dispenser and the existing refrigerator with built-in water dispenser On the level of performance, overall score in terms of sensor response time is verbally interpreted as very fast, refilling time posted an overall score that is verbally interpreted as extremely fast, filtering time overall score is verbally interpreted as very fast based on their time performance. Lastly, in terms of energy consumed the overall score is verbally interpreted as economical based on the power consumption of the project.
