University of Rizal System-Morong. 2019 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study was conducted to determine the relationship between motivational orientation and social loafing of the employees in an organization. The subject of study is composed of sixty (60) random public employees from the Municipality of Antipolo City, Teresa and Morong, Rizal according to their profile. The study measured the extent of motivational orientation in terms of intrinsic motivation which includes enjoyment and challenge and extrinsic motivation which includes compensation and outward orientation. It also measured the extent of social loafing in terms of the following predictors which are group cohesion, workplace incivility, belongingness and organizational citizenship behavior. The study used quantitative method research design utilizing the adapted and modified questionnaire in collecting data. The data gathered from the provided adapted and modified questionnaire was statistical computed using the group design (T-test and F-test). With that computation, findings revealed that the motivation in terms of profile have no significant difference on the motivational orientation and social loafing of the respondents. Based on the summary of findings presented, the study recommends the following: Future researchers may conduct a similar study to small or private organizations specifically in Human Resource Department. The organizations or companies may conduct activities such as team building and sensitivity training which will enhance the relationship among employees. This will also help resolve inner conflicts that employees might have and help them to be more productive and efficient in their organization. Moreover, for future study-investigation may use other variables such as salary rate, benefits and incentives.
