EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop an intruder alarm with sms notifier. Specifically, this attempted to design and construct an intruder alarm system; perform try-out and revision; and determine the acceptability of the device in terms of design and functionality, security feature, safety and maintenance, and usefulness. Furthermore, this research also determined the level of performance of the developed device and sensor system wireless alarm in terms of response time and distance and lastly, it developed an operating manual intended for the developed device. The design and construction of the intruder alarm system with sms notifier can be developed and constructed by utilizing locally available materials. Bill of materials and working drawing were prepared, preparing tools and materials were used as basis and guide for constructing the project. Likewise, tools and equipment were also setup in the building and said project. The try out and revision of the intruder alarm system with notifier was tested for operation. Defects were found like improper wiring and some malfunction of sensor. Immediately, the researchers fixed the defects and made the operation normal. Results on the level of acceptability evaluation of the project in terms of design and functionality, security feature, safety and maintenance and usefulness was accepted by the respondents. On the level of performance in terms of response time, the device got a verbal interpretation of extremely fast and in terms of distance, the device obtained a verbal interpretation of very sensitive as tested by the researchers and recorded in the score card. This research developed an operating manual consisting of procedures on how to operate the device, safety and maintenance. The operating manual was found out to be useful in using the said device.
