EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to determine the status of travel agencies in selected towns in rizal: input to putting up an entrepreneurial activity. The study was conducted in selected towns in rizal. The respondents of the study were forty (40) travel agencies from 4 towns in Rizal (Binangonan, Angono, Taytay and Cainta) of rizal. They selected ten (10) travel agencies in the town of rizal and utilized purposive sampling technique. The researchers used descriptive method of research and produced a questionnaire-checklist, to determine the status of travel agencies in selected towns in rizal and the statistical treatment used were frequency percentage distribution, mean, and ANOVA. The profile of respondents in terms of the most number of years in operation are 1-5 years; in terms of number of staffs, most of travel agencies have 6-15 staffs; in terms of from business, most of the travel agencies are sole or single proprietorship; in terms of products and services offered, most of the travel agencies offered ticketing, booking and tour packages; in terms of kinds of promotions used, most of travel agencies use websites to promote their business; in terms of number of booking per month, most of the travel agencies gain 10 and below and 21-30 bookings; and in terms of monthly income, most of the travel agencies' income is 20,000 and below. The status of travel agencies in selected towns in rizal with respect to domestic and international ticketing, domestic and international ticketing, domestic and international ticketing, domestic and international tour packages, accommodation and transportation, it was found out to be outstanding; with respect to visa assistance, it was found out to be very satisfactory and with respect to handling of conventions, seminar, company/school outings, educational tour in both domestic and international and team building activities for corporate clients and multinational companies, it was found out to be satisfactory. The null hypothesis states that there is no significant difference on the status of travel agencies in selected towns in rizal in terms of number of years in operations, number of staff with regards visa assistance, domestic and international packages, team building for corporate clients and multinational companies and accommodation; form of business, products and services offered with regards to visa assistance, domestic and international, seminars, company/school outings, educational both domestic and international, accommodation and transportation; kinds promotions used, number of booking per month with regards to visa assistance, domestic and international ticketing, domestic and international tour packages, handling of conventions, seminars, company/school outings, educational both domestic and international, team building activities for corporate clients and multinational companies and accommodation; and monthly income, therefore there is no significant difference in the status of travel agencies in selected towns in rizal. While, in terms of number of staff with regards to handling of conventions, seminars company/school outings, educational both domestic and international and transportation; products and services offered with regards to team building activities for corporate clients and multinational companies; and number of booking per month with regards to transportation, there is significant difference on the status of travel agencies in selected towns in rizal.
