Implementation of student services in the university of Rizal system

Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English University of Rizal System-Morong. 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study is aimed to assess the extent of implementation of the student services in university of rizal system, morong, rizal, during the school year 2017-2018 utilizing descriptive and quantitative method of research and the data were gathered through a researchers made questionnaire-checklist which consists of two parts. Part I contained the personal profile of the respondents. Part II contains the statement related to the different student services in the university of rizal system morong. The first part consists of the student welfare with respect to the information and orientation services and guidance and counseling. The second part consists of students development with respect to students activities and lastly, the institutional student program and services with respect to admission, scholarship and financial assistance and spiritual services were all statistically treated utilizing the formula for mean. In addition, the study has sixty (60) respondents who were the 3rd year and 4th year students of the college of education, bachelor of secondary education major in mathematics, English, biological science, physical science and technology and livelihood education and bachelor of elementary education in content courses who were chosen using the random sampling techniques. The findings of the study revealed that the implementation of the student services in terms of the dissemination of information has been giving support to the development of the students in addition to the provision of giving updates/information about various forms of students' scholarship and financial assistance programs that helped the students be guided accordingly. Further, services pertaining to the spiritual growth did maximize the potential and educational success but also in a more in-depth aspect. However, with regard to the implementation of admission services, it was disclosed in the study that attention be given to the admission processes/procedures which got the lowest mean. It was therefore concluded that the office of the students services (osds) implements and offers services that are necessary to the development of the students well-being as revealed by its high assessment among respondents. Based on the findings of the study, the following recommendations are hereby offered; that there's a need to have a yearly semester's evaluation of the services being offered by the office of students services and its result should be discussed among its staff which will serve as an avenue for a better and improved services to its clienteles, it is likewise encourage that the osds staff may be easily accessed by the administration, faculty, and the registrar and other stakeholders on matters pertaining to students academic and non-academic concerns through an online platform to facilitate easily students queries or individual concerns.
