EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop a thermal protector for air-conditioner. It attempted to design, construct, and perform try-out and revision. Likewise, it aimed to determine the level of acceptability of the thermal protector for air-conditioner in terms of design, functionality, usefulness, and safety and maintenance. Lastly, it determined the level of performance of the thermal protector for air-conditioner in terms of thermal sensing and settling time. The design and construction of the thermal protector for air-conditioner can be developed and constructed by utilizing locally available materials. Bill of materials and diagrams were prepared, prepared tools and materials and were used as basis and guide for constructing the project. On the try-out and revisions the device was tested for operation where different weakness were manifested. After the try-out and revisions, the project reached the functional output and attained the project objectives. On the acceptability of thermal protector for air-conditioner, it was verbally interpreted as "extremely accepted" respectively in terms of design, the device merited verbal interpretation of extremely acceptable in terms of functionality, the device merited a verbal interpretation of "extremely effective" in terms of usefulness, the device merited a verbal interpretation of "extremely useful" and in terms of safety and maintenance, the device merited a verbal interpretation of "extremely safe and easy to maintain". Based on the result of the project, the level of performance in terms of sensing capability got the expected setting of temperature and verbally interpreted as "extremely sensitive". On the level of performance in terms of settling time, it got the expected time to turn on with verbal interpretation of "extremely effective
