Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Technology major in Drafting Technology University of Rizal System-Morong 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study sought to design and construct a multi-purpose bed and determined the level of acceptability of the multi-purpose bed and existing ordinary bed in terms of functionality, usability, safety and maintainability and durability. This study also determined the significant difference on the level of acceptability between the project and the existing furniture in terms of the above mentioned variables. Moreover, this study was designed, and constructed out of locally available materials with the support of the experts, the researchers successfully finished the construction of the multi-purpose bed. The project was tested wherein different flaws and shortcomings were observed. Several defects were found, and through try-out and revision. The multi-purpose bed reached functional output and attained its objectives. Furthermore, on the level of acceptability of the developed multi-purpose bed, in terms of functionality, usability, safety and maintainability and durability, it was found to be extremely accepted than the existing ordinary bed based on the evaluation made by the respondents. As for the significant difference between the multi-purpose bed in terms of functionality, usability, safety and maintainability and durability, the findings revealed that there is a significant difference on the acceptability between the multi-purpose bed and the existing ordinary bed as evaluated by the respondents. Lastly, based on the results of the evaluation, the study concluded that the materials used in the project need to be replaced for a better qualification that can enhance the design and other parts of project.
