Thesis Bachelor of Technology major in Hotel and Restaurant Management University of Rizal System-Morong. 2018
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to determine the level of discrimination encountered by hotel and restaurant management graduates towards their course. It was conducted at university of rizal system, morong campus during the school year 2018-2019. The study used descriptive method of research utilizes the researchers made questionnaire checklist. The variables used in this study were sex, age, year graduated, employment status, position and religion. There were one hundred respondents who answered the questionnaire checklist in terms of employability, type of work, and social status in the community aspects. The respondents were chosen by convenience sampling method. There were twenty graduates from 2012-2013, twenty graduates from 2013-2014, twenty graduates from 2014-2015, twenty graduates from 2015-2016 and twenty graduates from 2016-2017. Statistical tools such as frequency percentage distribution, weighted mean and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to interpret the result of the study. From the analysis and interpretation of data, the following findings were summarized. The profile of the respondents in terms of sex and year graduated was found out to be equal distributed, also most of the respondents age ranges from 21-25 years old, in terms of employment status most of the respondents are employed. In terms of position the result was found that there were ten service crew, eight managers and housekeepers the rest were specified as waiters, cashiers, office work, and call center agent. And in terms of religion most of the respondents were roman catholic. The level of discrimination encountered by the bachelor of technology major in hotel and restaurant management graduates towards their course with respect to employability, type of work and social status in the community was found out to be less discriminated. There is no significant difference on the level of discrimination encountered by bachelor of technology major in hotel and restaurant management graduates towards their course in terms of sex, age, employment status, year graduated with regards to employability and type of work, position and religion was accepted while in terms of year graduated with regard to social status in the community the null hypothesis was found out to be rejected.
