Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Technology major in Hotel and Restaurant Management University of Rizal System-Morong 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to determine the level of awareness on proper nutrition among the parents of pre-schoolers in selected schools in morong, rizal. It was conducted at the university of rizal system, morong campus. There were fifty (50) respondents who answered the questionnaire checklist in terms of proper selection of food, balance diet, nutritive value and methods of food preparation in the community aspects. The study used descriptive method of research with questionnaire checklist made by the researchers. The variables used in this study were age, sex, occupation, monthly family income, and highest educational attainment. The researchers identified the problem of this study, gathered supporting details and determined the profile of the respondents in terms of age, sex, occupation, monthly family income and highest educational attainment. Based on the analysis and interpretation of the data, majority of the respondents are belong to the age bracket of forty six and above and most of the respondents are female. In terms of occupation majority of the respondents are household parents. In terms of monthly family income most of the respondents belonged to the bracket of 9001-14000 and most of them are college graduate. It was concluded that the level of awareness on proper nutrition among the parents of pre-schoolers in selected schools in morong, rizal that all variables in terms of proper selection of food, nutritive value, and method of food preparation got "often", while balance diet got "sometimes". The null hypothesis states that there is no significant difference on the level of awareness on proper nutrition among the parents of pre-schoolers in selected schools in morong, rizal in terms of age with regards to proper selection of food, nutritive value, and methods of food preparation was accepted while in terms of balance diet was found out to be rejected. In terms of sex with regards to proper selection of food, balance diet, nutritive value, and methods of preparations of food was accepted. In terms of occupation with regards to proper selection of food, balance diet, and method of food preparations was accepted while in terms of nutritive value was found out to be rejected. In terms of monthly family income with regards to proper selection of food, balance diet, and methods of food preparations was accepted while in terms of nutritive value was found out to be rejected. In terms of highest educational attainment with regards to balance diet, methods of food preparations was accepted while in terms of proper selection of food, and nutritive value was found out to be rejected.
