Thesis Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English University of Rizal System-Morong 2015
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study was conducted to analyze the level of performance in pre-board examination of bachelor of secondary education major in English for the last three (3) years. The subject of the study were the 89 BSE-English students who took the pre-board examination on the academic on the academic years 2012-2013, 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. The study used casual-comparative research and descriptive research utilizing documentary analysis. The level of performance in pre-board examination of the respondents was determined using mean and standard deviation. The study found out that in terms of general education, majority of the BSE-English students had a poor performance for the three (3) consecutive years. In terms of professional education subjects, most of the students had a fair performance for the year 2012-2015. Meanwhile, in terms of major subjects, students from the year 2012-2013 had a poor performance while the students from the year 2013-2015 had a fair performance. Based on the summary of findings and conclusions drawn from the study, the following recommendations were made: the students must give more effort in preparing for the pre-board examination, general education subjects should also be given attention, and another study parallel to this must be conducted to know the different factors affecting the pre-board examination result.
