Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering University of Rizal System-Morong 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The general objective of this research study was to Design a New Public Cemetery in Barangay Pingugay, Baras, Rizal during the academic year 2018 - 2019. The study was conducted and designed a new cemetery and a cemetery building with the purpose of giving ease, comfort to the people of Barangay Pinugay or for the Municipality of Baras itself and giving solution to the major problem of congestion in cemetery places. The design of the cemetery consists of eleven (11) Cemetery Buildings, two (2) Comfort Rooms, one (1) Administration Building, two (2) Parking Areas, and Covering Walls with Tombs which can give much room for people to visit and many burial tombs that can accommodate the residents love one's. According to statistics, in 2015, 56.3 million died in the world. The World Health Organization stated that, more than half (54%) of the 56.4 million died. Many more die in natural calamities in the Philippines, such as, typhoons, floods, earthquakes and many more. Terrorism and war costs lives, crimes also add to the number of deaths every day. Due to the endless stream of deaths, municipalities are forced to utilize public cemeteries that are full and congested. Therefore, to avoid these circumstances, designing a well-organized cemetery and applying new innovations will help to avoid congestion. Due to the need of innovations when it comes to cemeteries, the researchers come up to design a building that will help municipalities in congestion problems in cemeteries. The study aims to help Barangay Pinugay as one of the remote areas with high population in Baras, Rizal, by applying new innovations in building construction on cemeteries. In accordance to this, analyzing the surroundings and designing an efficient and economical structure was pursued. Based on the data gathered and analyzed, the study produced a site development plan for the cemetery which consist eleven (11) cemetery buildings, cemetery roadway, two (2) parking lots, wall tombs and comfort rooms. The main cemetery building can accommodate a maximum of two hundred ten (210) tombs, approximately five (5) heads per household, therefore accommodating a one thousand and fifty (1050) visitors with 289.8 square meter visiting area. The structure will have a total construction cost of 12,835,266.53 Pesos. Therefore, the study concluded to produce a detailed engineering which consist the architectural layout, structural design analysis and cost estimation. Providing a scale model to present the architectural design into an actual form. Based on the conclusions, the researchers came up to recommend the following: use of advance method and techniques in constructing, computing, estimating and designing, modifying the structural design and architectural layout by amenities that will provide beauty to the structure, adding structures to the site that will provide ease and security to the cemetery.
