Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Elementary Education in Content Courses University of Rizal System-Morong 2019 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to find out the academic performance of married and working students of URS Morong for the school year 2016-2018. The study was conducted at University of Rizal System, Morong Rizal. The respondents of the study were fourteen (14) married students and seventeen (17) working students from the different colleges. Descriptive and documentary analysis of research were employed in the study which utilized the average grades of married and working students to determine their academic performance with respect to different subject areas, English, Mathematics, Science, Filipino and Social Science. The given results were computed and interpreted using the appropriate statistical treatments. Mean and standard deviation were employed to determine the level of academic performance of married and working students. One way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was applied to determine the significant difference on the level of the academic performance of the respondents when grouped according to their profile. To determine the significant difference on the level of academic performance of married and working student t-test was applied. Based on the analysis of data, married students can perform well in classroom in spite of their marital status and busy schedule as a student, parent and wife or husband because of their determination to complete their education. Working students had their hard times performing inside their classroom depending on the nature of their work. In addition to the above findings, it showed that there was no significant difference on the level of the academic performance of married and working students as revealed by their average grade in different subject areas since the obtained p-value us greater than 0.05 level of significance hence fail to reject the null hypothesis. The study showed that married students can perform well in the classroom regardless of their age and inspite of their marital status and busy schedule as a student, parent and wife or husband because of their determination to complete their education. On the other hand, working students can excel in classroom if they promotes aspects that correspond with academic success such as industriousness or time management skills. It is recommended to the colleges with married and working students to closely coordinate with the office of students development services (OSDS) for proper guidance. Conduct of parallel study considering other variables may be done. Action plan for career guidance and activities for married and working students may be implemented.
