The study was conducted at twelve (12) upland barangays of Tanay, Rodriguez and Antipolo City from August to November 30, 2009, to determine the profile of the farms engaged in native pig production, existing production and management practices of the native pig raisers, physical characteristics of native pigs, economic profitability, the problems/difficulties encountered by the raisers/buyers in raising/buying of native pigs, and the possible solutions and action plans to address those problems met. A descriptive methods of research was used to draw information from the 147 respondents using the frequency, percentage, rank distribution, and mean to analyze the data gathered.
